Working on the computer all day, especially if your job entails you to type on the keyboard a lot, can cause carpal tunnel syndrome. This syndrome occurs when the median nerve is impinged and the fingers feel numb. There could also be a tingling sensation.
To prevent this, one must know the correct way to position his or her hands while typing. It also helps if one uses a flexible keyboard because it is softer than an ordinary plastic keyboard.
