Candy Basket: Bacteria Nightmare

Author: Clean_QWERTY  September 30, 2008

keyboard jermsIf your worst nightmare at work is to clean a keyboard or sanitize your mouse, your likely setting yourself up to get sick.

In a study of germs lurking in one Manhattan publishing office published by ABC in 2005, Dr. Chuck Gerba found results that were far worse than most office workers could imagine.

One woman’s candy basket contained a hundred times more germs than a toilet seat. The bacteria Gerba found was in part coliform. Coliform bacteria id generally found in human excrement, on bathroom faucets and door knobs and in kitchen sinks.

The presence of coliform bacteria in offices shows that people aren’t washing their hands after using the bathroom.

And, even if you do wash your hands after visiting the restroom and keep a visibly clean, clutter-free desk, you’re not necessarily safe from germs.

Keep Keyboards Safe From Disgruntled Office Workers

Author: Clean_QWERTY  September 30, 2008

broken keyboardJust because you are careful with your important equipment at the office doesn’t mean everyone else is. Complaints about broken computer key boards are quite common in many offices, particularly in situations in which multiple people use the same keyboards.

Some websites even offer instructions on how to break a keyboard. Here are some examples of how to ruin a perfectly good keyboard:

1.) By whacking the keys as hard as possible as often as possible.
2.) Use pliers to remove keys from the board.
3.) Wedge a staple or paper clip into the cracks of the board.
4.) Spill your 32-ounce fountain-style Coke on the board.
5.) Drop your keyboard while your computer is on, preferably while standing on your desk.

While any of these methods may serve to break a normal keyboard, they cannot break an indestructible keyboard. Indestructible keyboards are spill proof, flexible, and practically immune to all kinds of abuse.

No matter how hard I try to be careful around my desk, I spill drinks.  But now I never have to worry about it with my SpillSeal keyboard from WETKEYS.

They figured out how to make the perfect computer keyboard that works better than my old one and is sealed and protected from spills.  If I do spill a drink, I run the keyboard under the faucet and wash away the beverage without harm – it’s that easy!

Durable rubber keyboard

How can we make something that feels so soft and comfortable to use that’s really a virtually indestructible keyboard?  You’ll find the silicone rubber from which we mold our keyboards is the same tough material used in many different kinds of industrial gaskets and seals.

Since it’s fully sealed around the electronic parts inside, no water or dirt can get in side and you can wash it with soap and water.  It may last for many years, when used under the harshest industrial conditions – or even around your kids!

No more popping off… the keys!

Some people go to a LOT of trouble to keep things clean.  If I had to wash my keyboard by popping off each and every key individually it would never happen.

That’s why I use a WETKEYS washable keyboard because it’s completely sealed and can’t get dirty inside.  I just wash it under the tap with soap and water then dry it with a towel so it’s clean and safe to use.

You might not realize how delicate a regular keyboard can be until you drop a simple paper clip into it and it shorts out.  It can even crash your computer or cause major data problems that you don’t even realize.

That’s why it’s so important for everyone to use a durable keyboard.  With a keyboard from WETKEYS you can prevent problems like that from ever happening.
